It has been raining the past few days, two typhoons and unpredictable weather… *sigh* can’t believe summer’s ending this soon… we still have our anawangin trip this weekend
hope the weather’s fine then.
Been pretty busy lately, Cheng graduated from college (April27), we had Labor Day (May1), attended 2 weddings last May 3 and May 8 and today’s Mother’s Day (I forgot to send flowers
masamang bata… tsk tsk tsk)
Â
Cheng my youngest sibling graduated B.S. Nursing last April 27 held in PICC. Then the day after, Mommy (Tita Lolet) came home from the states because she’ll be attending Jacqueline’s Wedding (my cousin).
We has a long weekend last Labor Day, I just spent the day at home, snoozing
Whew! I’ve been to 3 weddings this year
and I’ve been to 2 this month alone
ahaha! I guess this year is wedding year
ahehe. Congratulations to Mateng and Joel; to my cousin Jacq and Derrick! Hope to see cute little babies soon
John Peter Bondad’s nuptials was last May 8th, same date as my cousin’s, so I was not able to celebrate with them… Congrats Peter!
Wow Mother’s Day! Thanks inay for the love and continued care even at times, most of the time, I’m being hard-headed and moody. You know I love you so much and someday I’ll be able to pay up all my utangs
ahehe! Love you love you :-*
Happy Mother’s Day to all mommy’s out there!
Happy Beer-day Marky! Enjoy! And hope you’ll get what you wish
Anntuts is looking forward to…

Mixed emotions this week… pressure, upset stomach, bad headache plus an empty wallet! Ahaha! Crappy

Less than a week before the BIG day and I haven’t finished my gift list. I have a lot of cramming to do.
I was searching online for some gift ideas and I ended buying something for myself at ebay
happy! Ahehe! I bought this Twilight inspired charmed bracelet
weeeh I got this last Saturday and now I’m waiting for Charlaine Harris’ Dead Until Dark book
weeeh I’m excited to receive it
i’ll have it by next week, i guess :-D

I think I’m getting into purchasing items online
that was my first online shopping experience
[bracelet]Â except for the occasional flower deliveries that i’ve done before for my mom ![]()
Â
Speaking of online shopping, i you may want to check this site - ShopWiki.com. it’s like an ultimate shopping guide for the online shoppers out there
ShopWiki aids the shopper where in if you search for an item that you want, say accessories like luggage or gadgets like ipod or any stuff that you like or need, it’ll return all stores where your searched item is availble. It also shows price ranges and the site even provide shopping guides related to the item searched so the buyer will know what’s on sale and will also have a deeper knowledge about the item that he/she wants to purchase. A bunch of cute kids with adorable costumes went trick or treating last Thursday in our office.
We had a Halloween party of our own – mark, mitch and ela. We had dinner and wander the booths in south cemetery
My inay’s (mom) homemade cooking
this is one reason why I want to go home every weekend
Night out at Marvin’s with HS buddies – jovz, yzhel, ghe
Trick
“What did you said?†unintelligent thing to say on the phone, bwahaha! Right after I blab this sentence, I figured I said it wrong and that sounded funny. buti na lang si mark ang kausap ko nun
that would have been very embarrassing

Have you ever met someone who’s so full of himself? Well we did and it was a dragging night except the happy parts without him

It’s the time of the year again!Â
Whew! Time does fly so fast, less than a month from now, it’s Christmas again!
Simbang gabi (Night Mass), puto bumbong, bibingka, parol (Christmas Lantern), Christmas Trees and stockings, mistletoe, snow (I wish :-P), caroling are in season again. Ooohh, I can smell the roasting of chestnuts. Hmmmm…
Parties and reunions, monito-monita (gift giving) are part of the celebration as well. I’m not that looking forward for reunions though, because tatay (dad) is not here to celebrate with us, he works abroad. I don’t have a lot of cousins and relatives so pretty much cheng, ton, inay (mom) and I will spend the Christmas together. We’ve been like that for as long as I remember so that doesn’t bother me. Perhaps we’ll go to an amusement park this year
And of course my most awaited part of this season, aside from Noche Buena, what else? Christmas shopping! You got to choose presents for your friends and family
and buy stuff for yourself too
for me it’s a way of pampering yourself after a year of hard work
ahaha! That’s the fun part, but you need fuel to get things running – anda/moola/ money! Ahaha! Desperately needed of a sideline ![]()
Back to my Christmas shopping blabbing, I’m done with my gift list, ahehe, the problem now is where to buy them, considering my fixed budget of course
if you have the same dilemma as I am, try browsing these sites for couple of good finds like multiply.com, ebay.ph, shop.com.
Like in SHOP.COM, they have a broad selection of items to choose from, plus they offer great deals and prizes as well, how cool is that? The site also offer discounts, coupons and free shipping. They have a promo right now, the Top Holiday Gifts Give Away! and the lucky customer can have a chance to grab a flat screen TV, iPod Touch, GPS Navigation System and more!  The promo runs thru December 14.
You can also go to department stores, bazaars and to tutuban for cheap finds. The stuff that they sell with varying prices and you lots to choose from. Research does not hurt, you can browse magazines and the net for some cool and nice presents for this year so that you’ll get an idea. Plus there are a lot of bargains, sales and freebies that some stores offer, be it online or not, offer.
Start your holiday shopping early so you’ll not get caught in the rush.
happy shopping everyone!

The memo reads…
“This is a note for all personnel in the Philippines.
The President of the Philippines has issued Proclamation No. 1463 declaring May 1, 2008, Thursday, as a Regular Holiday throughout the country in observance of Labor Day”
Searched the phrase may 1 labor day ; Wikipedia has the following definition:
May Day occurs on May 1 and refers to any of several public holidays in many countries.May Day is synonymous with International Workers’ Day, or Labour Day, which celebrates the social and economic achievements of the labor movement. As a day of celebration, however, the holiday has ancient origins and can relate to many customs that have survived into modern times. Many of these customs are due to May Day being a cross-quarter day, meaning that it falls approximately halfway between a solstice and an equinox.
When we were little, May 1 rain = “miracle” rain. It was said that May 1st’s rain could cure illnesses and such and could even bring good luck. So whenever there’s a downpour on May 1, my siblings and I would bathe in the rain. I don’t know the reason behind this pamahiin/hearsay/belief, but I perceived May Day as such. I don’t even know where this “belief” originated. May 1, 2008 fell on Thursday; many thought that Labor Day will be moved on Friday since Friday will be a sandwich day. Well you can’t blame them to think this way since we’re used to “moving” the holidays to give way to long weekends. I’m not a party pooper or anything, don’t get me wrong, I do love long weekends since I could go to our province and spend more time with my family and more sleep for me
, and it’s just that, the frequent rescheduling of holidays, doesn’t bring the essence of the holiday; I mean, a holiday/celebration was set so that people could remember that “glorious” day. Holidays today, is just a holiday.
As for me, I got to spend my May Day in Trinoma with may roommates - she and kate. Glad to spend a day out of the office
ahehe.
Happy Labor Day to everyone
hope you enjoyed your day off
