It was a very tiring Sunday! Ahaha! Last Sunday of the month of June
I’m 14+ hours awake! Ahaha! Hope to get my Zs, need to be early tomorrow [aaaw! I don’t want to be late for the nth time!]
6:00 am: It was the diagnostics today [1st AMCI training day]; it was tiring but it was okay; at least we were warmed up
[I can’t remember the last time I had exercised :-P] 1.6km run around ultra, crunches, push-ups ahaha! I had a very hard time doing sit-ups and push-ups! It was like I can’t lift my body! Ahaha! What I found weird was that when we had our pulse rate check after the run, my count is just 88! Ahaha! While the rest was like, 100+! Nyahaha! Perhaps I skipped a couple of bit when I counted! Bwehehe! Then after our warm-up we had a get-to-know-each-other meeting
it was fun meeting other people
Wednesday is another training day. Waaahh! I’m feeling excited and a bit exhausted already! Ahaha!
We were dismissed 11:30am. Feeling all sticky and icky, we [anntuts, ets, nelle] showered at nelle’s place
[we were together with abs, but then he had to go home] ahehe. Then we had a bucket meal at KFC Shang
ahaha! [we’re not hungry :-P] we were supposed to visit a home for the aged center, but then due to lack of energy and strength, nelle and I had to skip the event [so sorry ets]. After KFC, we went to church for the Sunday mass then we met with jam and had Crazy Crepes [mango-c&c! yum!] in Trinoma. We took off to the grocery before hitting home.
8:00+ pm: I arrived in our apartment. Ahaha! I had to do laundry and stuff. *sigh* and I need to finish our powerpoint presentation and documents for tomorrow! Ahaha! I’m betting tomorrow’s going to be another uber busy day, ahaha! A super cold beer sounds nice
Anntuts is looking forward to a great week ahead!

Just got home from our muvee night and now eating congee [I got hungry on my way home]; and guess what… I watched Transformers again! Ahahah! I can’t get enough of it! Still wondering what happened to the toy car decepticon and the twins… hmmmm… [and elsie] I missed Josh!
Ahaha! Well, my day was so-so ahaha! Nothing spectacular happened but it was okay
we had a surprise lunch party at Tokyo Tokyo for Dino (our Lead); not really a party though but we had a lunch out and we had a cake for him
a belated birthday celebration
[Oh Gosh! I’m still thinking about Megan! Waaahhh! She’s turning me into a lesbo!] *sigh* I need to fix my alarm, I’m uber late yet again this morning… hays…
Unexpected News: Michael Jackson died from cardiac arrest…
Ann is currently uploading her Cebu Trip pics in her multiply site.
I’ll be in Laguna today
but needs to get back for my first AMCI training tomorrow!
Anntutay’s to do’s: Change her idlip theme! ahaha! been using the same theme in ages! [i just lurv this pink theme :-P]
Happy Birthday Steep!

April! April Fools… Holy Week… and it is almost midyear!
a lot of things to expect, to happen… and it’s SUMMER! Waaah! The weather is super hot, taking a dip in the pool/beach is a must for me
relaxation… hanging out … malling
This weekend, I got to watch Knowing, Fast and Furious and They Wait. I love watching movies!
Hanging out with friends, going to the arcade, is super cool and having a good laugh is super fun too.
Wahaha! It was a nice weekend until I was traumatized
It was my fault I guess… I was trying to get into this “dating thing” and I was not aware that I was going out with a married guy! Yes, married guy! It was so uncomfy and was irritating
first of, he is not that good looking kinda guy and when I went out with him I totally and specifically told him that it’ll be just a friendly date no something something what so ever. I think I’m at the age wherein I’m looking for a stable and “right†relationship… I’m not a player type, I just want to meet someone that would respect me and love me… I guess that is so difficult to find nowadays… argh! Being friendly is no good either I guess… that was a lesson learned for me, and I’m so terrified when it comes to dating right now… super…

Friday 13th June
woke up that morning covered with rashes. thought it was just an allergic reaction from whatever i ate the other day. went to the office despite the embrassing redness of my skin - that eventually reached my face. i felt absutely normal - minus the rashes
; i mean, i don’t fell ill that day or the days before that. i even went to our basketball practice the other day.

ang mukha ng may measles - nakangiti pa din
it was noon and the rashes are still there — thought it will disapear by that time, so i went to the clinic. in the clinic: the nurse was like “oh my God, is that measles? why did you go to work?” ahaha! i was dumbstrucked. it never occured to me that the rashes maybe measles. the nurse advise me to go to patients’ first fot check up since the doctor was out that day. so i went, and after 2 hours of waiting, it was confirmed: german measles.
“Rubella — commonly known as German measles or 3-day measles — is an infection that primarily affects the skin and lymph nodes. It is caused by the rubella virus (not the same virus that causes measles), which is usually transmitted by droplets from the nose or throat that others breathe in. It can also pass through a pregnant woman’s bloodstream to infect her unborn child. As this is a generally mild disease in children, the primary medical danger of rubella is the infection of pregnant women, which may cause congenital rubella syndrome in developing babies.
Before a vaccine against rubella became available in 1969, rubella epidemics occurred every 6 to 9 years. Kids ages 5 to 9 were primarily affected, and many cases of congenital rubella occurred as well. Now, due to immunization of children, there are much fewer cases of rubella and congenital rubella.
Most rubella infections today appear in young, non-immunized adults rather than children. In fact, experts estimate that 10% of young adults are currently susceptible to rubella, which could pose a danger to any children they might have someday.
Signs and Symptoms
Rubella infection may begin with 1 or 2 days of mild fever (99–100° Fahrenheit, or 37.2–37.8° Celsius) and swollen, tender lymph nodes, usually in the back of the neck or behind the ears. A rash then appears that begins on the face and spreads downward. As it spreads down the body, it usually clears on the face. This rash is often the first sign of illness that a parent notices.
The rubella rash can look like many other viral rashes. It appears as either pink or light red spots, which may merge to form evenly colored patches. The rash can itch and lasts up to 3 days. As the rash clears, the affected skin occasionally sheds in very fine flakes.
Other symptoms of rubella, which are more common in teens and adults, may include: headache; loss of appetite; mild conjunctivitis (inflammation of the lining of the eyelids and eyeballs); a stuffy or runny nose; swollen lymph nodes in other parts of the body; and pain and swelling in the joints (especially in young women). Many people with rubella have few or no symptoms at all.
When rubella occurs in a pregnant woman, it may cause congenital rubella syndrome, with potentially devastating consequences for the developing fetus. Children who are infected with rubella before birth are at risk for growth retardation; mental retardation; malformations of the heart and eyes; deafness; and liver, spleen, and bone marrow problems.
Contagiousness
The rubella virus passes from person to person through tiny drops of fluid from the nose and throat. People who have rubella are most contagious from 1 week before to 1 week after the rash appears. Someone who is infected but has no symptoms can still spread the virus.
Infants who have congenital rubella syndrome can shed the virus in urine and fluid from the nose and throat for a year or more and may pass the virus to people who have not been immunized.
Prevention
Rubella can be prevented by a rubella vaccine. Widespread immunization against rubella is critical to controlling the spread of the disease, thereby preventing birth defects caused by congenital rubella syndrome.
The vaccine is usually given to children at 12 to 15 months of age as part of the scheduled measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) immunization. A second dose of MMR is generally given at 4 to 6 years of age. As is the case with all immunization schedules, there are important exceptions and special circumstances. Your child’s doctor will have the most current information.
The rubella vaccine should not be given to pregnant women or to a woman who may become pregnant within 1 month of receiving the vaccine. If you are thinking about becoming pregnant, make sure that you are immune to rubella through a blood test or proof of immunization. If you’re not immune, you should receive the vaccine at least 1 month before you become pregnant.
Pregnant women who are not immune should avoid anyone who has the illness and should be vaccinated after delivery so that they will be immune during any future pregnancies.
Incubation
The incubation period for rubella is 14–23 days, with an average incubation period of 16–18 days. This means that it can take 2–3 weeks for a child to get rubella after they are exposed to someone with the disease.
Duration
The rubella rash typically lasts 3 days. Lymph nodes may remain swollen for a week or more, and joint pain can last for more than 2 weeks. Children who have rubella usually recover within 1 week, but adults may take longer.
Professional Treatment
Rubella cannot be treated with antibiotics because antibiotics do not work against viral infections. Unless there are complications, rubella will resolve on its own.
Any pregnant woman who has been exposed to rubella should contact her obstetrician immediately.
Home Treatment
Rubella is typically a mild illness, especially in kids. Infected children usually can be cared for at home. Monitor your child’s temperature, and call the doctor if the fever climbs too high.
To relieve minor discomfort, you can give your child acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Avoid giving aspirin to a child who has a viral illness because its use in such cases has been associated with the development of Reye syndrome, which can lead to liver failure and death.
When to Call the Doctor
Call the doctor if your child develops a fever of 102° Fahrenheit (38.9° Celsius) or above (in a child younger than 6 months, call for a fever above 100.4° Fahrenheit, or 38° Celsius), or if your child appears to be getting sicker than the mild course of symptoms described above.”

yey!

that was the first time that i went out of the country
i felt excited! as in super!
i took a week long vacation from work — sooo nice ![]()
and had an extra day off because of the holiday [june9th] lucky! ahehe…
our journey begins….
may31 6:30am ninoy international airport
our flight to hongkong CX904 on board cathay pacific. waahh… so sleepy.

hongkong experience day 1
may31 8:30am hongkong international airport
the flight was super fast! ahehe. the minute i stepped out of the plane, i was like, “wow….“. the airport was huge! ahehe. it was nothing compared from the one we departed [no offense]
welcome to hongkong!

itenerary:
day1: meet tatay at the airport. anything goes.
day2: city tour and ocean park at noon.
day3: disneyland
day4: welcome back to the Philippines!

sometimes i think our company go way overboard when it comes to advertising

first meal in HK: Japanese Noodles
excited? hell yeah!
just waiting… ahaha!
we waited for tatay’s [dad]Â arrival. i think he arrived 1:30pm.

i missed him dearly. it was 2years since we last saw him. he’s working abroad, saudi, and in his contract, he can go home every 2 years and have a 2 month vacation. he’s been doing this for almost 15 years now.

view from the hotel window
immediately after his arrival, we went to our hotel - wing sing hotel. it was not a fancy hotel and well at least there’s a place that we can stay
it’s located midtown hongkong. when we’ve checked in, we had a quick rest, ate dinner and went to mongkong [ladies' market]; by the way, our hotel is corner temple street [night market]. it was an 8minute walk from our hotel to mongkong. alot of stores and alot of people. it was like divisoria [actually i haven't been in divi
but i think the set-up of the stores are the same -- in my imagination
ahehe].
**nathan road pics

i smile whenever i hear someone speaking tagalog - ahehe, andami palang Filipino dun. ahaha! immitation bags, shoes and watches are the main goods that they are selling. my sister, cheng, and i were looking at some souvenier items when the sales lady approached us, we were about to leave but then she kept lowering the price and insisting us to buy. she even handed a calculator and asked us to type the amount that we want for the product. ahehe. carzy huh? aside from the divi-like stores, there are also signatures stores along nathan road.
hongkong experience day 2

tony, our guide and inay’s [mother] contact, met us at our hotel for the city tour. we stroll around hongkong. we went from nathan road, to the harbor, to downtown hongkong, cameron road, to the old hongkong airport and to jc jewelry. they say that the jewelry in jc’s are much cheaper than the ones you buy at other stores because they produce it
[plus they offer lifetime warranty] you can see there workshop from there. i’m not a jewelry kind of gal but still i enjoyed the pieces
i even saw a picture of former president ramos in the store
they say that hongkong’s main products are opticals and jewelry. tony even said that we came at the right time because come july, when the goodies in HK are on sale, we won’t be able to book for a hotel.

after the “field” trip, we went to ocean park! yey! pandas, sea lions, dolphins, jellyfish, sharks, different kinds of fish, name it, you’ll see here
although the park is under renovation, i think they’ll be putting up quite a number of attractions, we had great fun exploring the whole place
i will never forget my first cable car ride… i don’t know if i fear heights but riding the car makes my hands super sweaty as in flood.
ahaha! but the view compensated
there was this show, dolphins and seal show, and that the front act was a band. they played “anak” by fredie aguilar and alot of audience just gone “wooohooo” and making all these noises and clapping. that made me realize, Filipinos are all around HK, ahehe! nice

hongkong experience day 3

disneyland! yey! i just wished i was a child again — about 7-10 years old
but then you don’t need to be a kid to enjoy the carousel ride at DISNEYLAND! it was like a dream come true. wahaha! i was excited to see PIGLET! but then i only saw pooh and eeyore
well, it was fine… at least i saw the disney princesses - aurora, belle, cinderella [back only] and my fave [next to ariel] snow white
they’re soooo pretty and cute
they’re like animation brought to life
had an exciting jungle river cruise and visited tarzan’s tree house. i enjoyed talking to crush [the turtle dude in finding nemo], watching the festival of the lion king and the 3d adventure in mickey’s philharmagic
i also enjoyed buzz lightyear astro blaster where we got to blast zurg and his evil minions
and the dizzy mad hatter tea cups ride. i had in “it’s a small world” and got soaked during mickey’s waterworld parade! ahaha!

sleeping beauty castle

mickey’s waterworld parade

disneyland hotel

but then it actually rained during the parade so you couldn’t tell if you got wet from the rain or from the parade
but the rain did not stop us from having fun at the park
it was great that the rain stopped in time with the highschool musical live performance! we also visited the disneyland hotel and before the park closes, watched the fireworks display. the fireworks display is awesome! i want to go back again!

at tomorrowland

ooohhh piglet!

with prince caspian

hongkong experience day 4
went to downtown and done more shopping.

10:30pm CX905 our flight back to Manila. we thought it’ll be delayed because the weather was not good but then we’re here! ahehe. it sucks that Duty Free was closed when we came back, i have no chocolates for my friends, housemates and officemates — super sorry, not my fault, ahehe

the trip was tiring, yet super fun! i think it also bonded our whole family — yes whole! finally after 2 years. the only diffulty that i think we had during the trip, aside from the over crowded streets was language barrier. and by the way, i forgot to mention, the traffiic in HK is way way great than here
ahehe
waahhh! can’t believe that my vacation is over… don’t want to work yet…
huhuhuhu….
i got Fahrenheit’s CD!!!! waaahhh! i’m so loving chun :-* and aaron too :-* XOXO

heard wu chun will be visiting the Philippines in July! lucky are the chun fans

Fahrenheit: from left: aaron, jiro, chun and calvin
got new friends — pandee and piglet

with panda eyes…
iced tall café mocha and bagel to start the day…
I did not get much sleep last night. Perhaps I’ve been thinking about my code too much – I need to pass it today! Waaahhh! To pass the time, to my daze, I finished Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Cuelho – at last! Finished! After months that I have it stocked. It was a good read; well I thought the opposite when I first attempted to read it. Never thought the story will end up that way… I’m not fond of reading books/novels actually, but I want to start… well, it was not quite bad as I thought it would
Back to Veronika Decides to Die, well it’s a story about a young woman named Veronica – 24 years old, green eyes and brown hair – in search of who she was, love, acceptance, insanity, the meaning to live and the meaning of life. She decided to end her life because she wants to escape from the routine that she’s been living – everything is the same.
I think if Veronika is in my position, she’ll definitely resort to suicide
wahaha!
For the past two years (well, almost two years), apartment – office – apartment – office is my life. I’m just thankful that my friends would ask me out once in a while. Ahaha! I’m not thinking of killing my self for the reason that everything in my life is the same. In October this year, I’ll be the same age as Veronica, I hope I could discover more that is to life – was that a line from a song? Ahaha!
“Come on, let’s go. Crazy people do crazy things.â€
**Books to recommend?
Watched iron man last night with nic (housemate).
“the truth is… I am Iron Manâ€
  -tony stark
wahaha! I so love this line.
I’m not really familiar with the actor who played Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) either with Iron Man
**Although I know he is a super hero
** But I loved the character’s coolness, courage, arrogance – in a good way and ingenuity; minus the beard
I love the suite! The armour is way too cool and realistic fly scene.
I was suppose to watch When Love Begins with mark, mitch and ging last Friday, but was cancelled because I was super late that night.
So we just grabbed dinner at Gerry’s and coffee afterwards. I met christian, ging’s bf.
I had a nice weekend, none the less, eventhough I did not go home to San Pablo. I’ll be meeting inay this lunch.
